McNair Advisory Council

 

The McNair Advisory Council (MAC) consists of a cross-section of UMBC faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and retirees. Members provide advisement on project development and activities, as well as serves as program advocates. The advisory council gives advice to the Program Director and staff on relevant matters, internal and external to the university that may impact the program. The advisory council consists of a subcommittee based on the needs of the program. Subcommittees meet monthly while the entire council meets three times a year.  As a result of their engagement, members of UMBC MAC:

  • Contributes to the success of the UMBC McNair Scholars Program
  • Makes a positive impact on the lives of our scholars
  • Serves the UMBC community
  • Expands their network
