TRIO Programs at UMBC

The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for qualified individuals from traditionally disadvantaged backgrounds in order to motivate and prepare them for postsecondary educational study. TRIO includes eight programs targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, individuals with disabilities, and students from underserved geographic areas in their pursuit of post-baccalaureate study. These programs encourage the mentoring, tutoring, and advising of its students. Listed below are the eight TRIO programs, however only the ones with links can be found at UMBC:
