2026 Conference Keynote Speaker Dr. Jameka C. Wiggins ’21
Dr. Jameka C. Wiggins strives to be a well-rounded scholar who exemplifies dedication to both people and scholarship. Originally from Prince George’s County, she earned her Ph.D. in Engineering Education from The Ohio State University (OSU), specializing in Organizational Change in Higher Education and Industry. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Ohio State.

Dr. Wiggins’ dissertation research examined how engineering faculty’s positionalities and lived experiences shape their critical consciousness development. As both a scholar and advocate, she is committed to amplifying minoritized voices in engineering through research and mentorship.

Beyond her academic work, Dr. Wiggins serves as an Upward Bound Advisor at Columbus State Community College, volunteers with See Brilliance, a Columbus-based STEM nonprofit, and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. UMBC has recognized her for advancing the vision of the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, and The Ohio State University’s Department of Engineering Education has recognized her for her scholarly contributions as a graduate researcher. Dr. Wiggins strives to inspire future scholars and practitioners to lead with intention, consciousness, and care, while fostering meaningful change that bridges research and practice. (Academic Profile)
