What does being a UMBC McNair scholar mean to you?: Being a McNair Scholar means that I am part of a bigger community of people just like me, at my position in life. I am also setting a big example of those scholars following after me. Responsibility, kindness, and ambition is what sets me apart from non scholars; to grow into this position of a UMBC McNair Scholar is an honor all in itself.
