Dr. April K. Householder serves as the Director of Undergraduate Research and Prestigious Scholarships at UMBC, where she is dedicated to growing the university's undergraduate research profile and mentoring students pursuing major awards. Under her leadership, UMBC students have earned two Rhodes (Oxford), one Gates-Cambridge, one Marshall, two Truman, and twelve Goldwater scholarships. A UMBC alumna herself, Dr. Householder brings both institutional knowledge and a deep commitment to student success to her work connecting undergraduates with transformative academic opportunities.
