Getting your PhD is a no small feat. But what's next? In a panel style discussion, learn from McNair alumni and our community of supporters about the career possibilities and earning potential for individuals after their graduate education.

Dr. Makila Meyers-Burgos (she/her/hers)
I hold a doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. I am a former classroom teacher who has spent the past five years working with state education agencies and non profits to lead various educational initiatives involving literacy, culturally responsive-sustaining education and, most recently, state funded PreK curriculum. I have experience supporting first generation graduate students, graduate students of color, and graduate students with special needs through my work at Teachers College, City University of New York and a non-traditional certification program in Rhode Island named College Unbound.  

Dr. Lynne Adams (she/her/hers)
Associate Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer
Dr. Lynne Adams has decades of experience providing innovative and strategic human resources and organizational developments initiatives to higher education, business, government, and non-profit organizations.   Over the span of her career she has developed a path based upon her passion and commitment to improving organizational culture, strategy, team cohesiveness, and leadership skills within organizations.  She has developed and implemented large-scale organizational initiatives that have had a significant impact propelling organizations to maximize the competencies of their talents.

Dr. Adaku Uchendu (she/her/hers)
I am an AI researcher at MIT Lincoln Lab. I graduated with a PhD in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn state in 2023.
