June McNair Family Gathering

Scholars are required to attend the monthly Family Gathering and Saturday Academy, and student ambassadors are highly encouraged to do so. Friends of McNair will be permitted to participate in the entirety of Family Gathering over the summer semester. 

Family Gathering tends to the well-being of our community and allows for intentional bonding within the community. 

Although we do not offer Saturday Academy, which provides tools and

knowledge to promote academic success and graduate school preparation, in the summer semester, there will be a least a 1-hour block for a skill-based workshop, led by McNair administrative staff or alumni mentors.

However, UMBC students may apply to the Friends of McNair network on a rolling basis.
