What is NIAMS?
The mission of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases is to support research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases; the training of basic and clinical scientists to carry out this research; and the dissemination of information on research progress in these diseases.
Almost every household in America is affected by diseases of the bones, joints, muscles, and skin. The NIAMS works to understand and treat such diseases and conditions. We support research through our extramural and intramural programs.
For information on summer research and post-baccalaureate opportunities, see: https://www.niams.nih.gov/labs/career-development-outreach/student-research-training
We will send out a link to the WebEx session to those who register below in the morning of the session.
We are very thankful to the Meyerhoff Scholars program for organizing these sessions!
