Description
It’s an exciting time of year where we get to celebrate our annual Torch Ceremony. The May Torch Reception is held at the end of each spring semester to recognize the hard work of graduating McNair Scholars and their Mentors. We also pass the torch to the newly selected Scholars who have decided to begin their journey with the McNair Scholars Program.
We will hear from McNair staff, scholars, mentors, and our very special keynote speaker, Dr. Yolanda Valencia, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography & Environmental Systems, who is a proud McNair Alum!

Location: Virtual (Zoom link sent to those who register)
Attire: Business casual, UMBC colors (Black and Gold), or whatever gets you into the spirit of celebration!
