What does being a UMBC McNair scholar mean to you?:
In three simple words, being a McNair Scholar means family, support, and diversity. We are building a family that grows every year, surrounded by people that are going through similar experiences and are there for us to support each other. In addition to moral support, the McNair Scholars program supports scholars academically and financially. The third word, diversity, is important to me because the McNair Scholars program brings together students of various backgrounds, upbringings, and academic interests that are shooting for the same long term goal of higher education.
